We have had a great weekend staying with Sarah and Simon, Harry and Sophia, who are 3 and 2. They are delightful happy children with beautiful English accents. I went with Simon to Harry's Rugby Tots. It was very like the footy class Liam & Jem went to in Port Melbourne when they were about the same age.
David and I also met Felix, also a dear little boy. We had brunch together, hosted by Sarah and Simon.
We all had dinner in a local restaurant, Ann, David and I, as guests of Simon and Charlie.
Unfortunately Louise's mother is to have surgery this week, and Louise was about to fly to Sweden to be with her. It was good to see her.
All of the Tilleys could not have been more hospitable and generous.
Winchester is a very old town with narrow windy streets and a huge church.
Housing is the big issue here- expensive. Narrow old houses with steep staircases that people renovate very cleverly. It is very green and picturesque.
