Agrigento Sicily

We are now in the south of Sicily staying in a most gorgeous hotel. Swimming pool in the manicured gardens. Dining terrace with stunning view, a restored villa. Some Americans here, first English we have heard for quite a while. We have been muddling along with my French, and kind others!

Walked amongst three Greek temples this morning, and other ruins including a swimming pool- steps down into it, and with a gradient at the bottom. You would be happy to have it in your garden today, and it was built in 500BC!! In solid rock. Very civilized in this heat. As is the siesta, that we are having now.
